Damoh, on International Yoga Day on 21st June, yoga programs will be organized at every block as well as Health and Wellness Center apart from the district level. Along with this, yoga programs will be organized in schools and colleges. The main program at the district level will be organized at Excellence School Ground. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said this today in a meeting organized regarding International Yoga Day. He said that better arrangements should be ensured in the organized program. CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma was specially present in this meeting.

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that apart from this, programs should also be organized at identified places where programs have been done earlier. He also asked to organize programs on Yoga Day in the main gardens of the city. This was also discussed in the meeting. The collector also asked to organize yoga programs near Amrit Sarovar in the villages.

The collector said that in these organized programs, apart from champions and topper students, people of fame in various fields should also be invited. Yoga Day programs will be organized from June 14 to 21, rehearsal yoga programs will be held from June 14 to 20. While discussing the theme of yoga "Yoga for Women Empower" in the meeting, it was said that maximum participation of women should be ensured. The collector asked the officer of Women Child Development and NRLM to ensure maximum participation of Anganwadi workers and women of self-help groups. In the meeting, women yoga teachers were asked to appeal to maximum women to participate in the program organized on Yoga Day.

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that along with the program organized at Damoh District Headquarters on International Yoga Day, the programs organized at the block level should be organized with grandeur. He asked CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma to ensure proper arrangements.

Under Yoga Countdown, yoga programs will be organized with rehearsals from June 14 this year, these programs will be held at district and block level. In this regard, the collector discussed with the yoga instructors and the officials of yoga institutions and after discussing with the Yogacharya of the school and sports department and Ayurveda, gave necessary guidelines and said that appropriate programs should be organized by making arrangements accordingly. Regarding Yoga Day, the officials of various yoga institutions and yoga gurus gave their views and suggestions.
