Five women of the same family, who were crossing the Kanpur-Prayagraj highway, were hit by a speeding e-car near Hathipur turn of Maharajpur police station area, Kanpur. Four women died in the accident. Meanwhile, the injured girl is undergoing treatment in the hospital. The deceased include two real sisters and a mother and daughter. Poonam Pandey, 35-year-old wife of teacher Vijay Kumar Pandey, resident of Shyamnagar, Chakeri, along with her married 25-year-old daughter Divya Awasthi, went to meet her 50-year-old sister-in-law Sarita Devi on Tuesday morning. Had gone to his home in Hathipur village in Maharajpur. Mother and daughter stayed at Sarita's house the whole day.
