Saharanpur, The first convocation ceremony of Maa Shakumberi University Saharanpur is being organized at Janmanch on 22nd February. Vice Chancellor Dr HS Singh told reporters today that Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor Anandi Ben Patel will present gold medals to 12755 excellent students of the university. Vice Chancellor Dr HS Singh said that these 12755 students include 4077 boys, 8677 girls and one transgender. Dr. Singh said that the Chancellor's Gold Medal will be awarded to six students. In which there are two boys and four girls. 49 students will be awarded the Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal, including 19 boys and 30 girls. A sponsored gold medal will be awarded to a girl student. He informed that five kits will be presented to Anganwadi workers. Governor Anandi Ben Patel will also gift 200 books to 30 school students. Vice Chancellor Dr. Harishankar Singh said that degrees are not only being given to the students of the university but the same has been entered in the DG locker. Through this, it can be seen anywhere in the world which faculty's degree has been awarded by the university to which student and apart from this, the students will not have to wander anywhere to get the degree verified. He told that currently 24 types of faculties are running in this university.

The approval of the faculty and its teachers has been obtained. The Vice Chancellor has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a grant of Rs 20 crore to this university on special priority basis. He said that this amount will be used for setting up assessment centre, e-Studio and central laboratory in the university. Due to which teachers and research students will benefit. The Vice Chancellor informed that Anandi Ben Patel will preside over the convocation ceremony. The chief guest will be Padmashree Bharat Bhushan Yogacharya. Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and Minister of State for Higher Education Rajni Tiwari will also be present.
