Saharanpur. Senior BJP leader and former member of UP Backward Commission, Jaiprakash Tomar has stressed that efforts should be made to bring the person sitting at the last rung of the society into the mainstream of the nation. Which was the thinking of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Jaiprakash Tomar said that during his tenure as Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh, Rajnath Singh had formed a Social Justice Committee under the chairmanship of the then minister Hukum Singh. Its purpose was to identify the most backward and most backward castes and make such arrangements that they too can get the benefit of reservation. Jaiprakash Tomar said that even after so many years, today we believe that that step of Rajnath Singh as Chief Minister was a revolutionary decision in favor of social justice. But the Revenue Minister of his own government, Ashok Yadav, had challenged it in the court and the court had stopped it from being implemented. Rajnath Singh had also dismissed Ashok Yadav from the cabinet. Jaiprakash Tomar said that the benefit of OBC reservation should be given to the backward, most backward and extremely backward class people. Rajnath Singh had done a logical job by classifying the backward castes.
