New Delhi, A tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon at Satya Niketan (RK Puram), near the posh Moti Bagh area of ​​South Delhi. The five-story building, approximately 40-50 years old, suddenly collapsed like a house of cards, tragically killing five people, while three others remain in critical condition. Since it was a Sunday holiday, students were present at the boys' PG, called "Hostel Days," at the time of the accident. Rescue workers have rescued 11 people safely, with three seriously injured victims admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Center.

The fire department received information about the incident at around 1:30 p.m., promptly followed by eight fire engines and emergency teams.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah expressed deep sorrow over this terrible accident. The Prime Minister expressed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. Meanwhile, Home Minister Amit Shah spoke directly with the Chief Minister, Delhi Police Commissioner, and Director General of the NDRF to review the situation. He stated that the NDRF team, in collaboration with the local administration, is carrying out rescue operations on a war footing.

Chief Minister's Tough Stance: Suspected Negligence During Work in the Basement
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who arrived to inspect the site, vowed to take strict action against officials for negligence. She clarified that unauthorized or risky work was underway in the basement of the building. For safety reasons, nearby buildings have also been evacuated. Joint teams of the NDRF, Delhi Fire Service, Delhi Police, MCD, CATs, and Civil Defence are engaged in rescuing people from the debris.

FIR against building owners, notice received a month ago
Following the accident, police have filed an FIR against Gurugram resident building owner Hariom Bansal and his brother Anand Bansal and have begun searching for them. According to local residents and eyewitnesses:
