New Delhi: Security has been further tightened in the national capital in view of the CJP's 'Chalo Sansad' campaign and ongoing protests. As a precautionary measure, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to keep the entry and exit gates of 16 major metro stations closed for the second consecutive day. While metro trains will continue to pass through these stations as scheduled, passengers will not be allowed to board or disembark.

Security agencies have deployed additional police and paramilitary forces at Parliament, Jantar Mantar, and other sensitive areas in Central Delhi. Traffic arrangements have also been altered on several major routes. The administration has urged people to check their travel information and traffic updates before leaving home.

Protests led by activist Sonam Wangchuk and the Central People's Democratic Party (CJP) continue, demanding accountability in the education system and alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. Security has been increased in sensitive areas of the capital.

The administration has also imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Services Code (BNSS) in New Delhi district. The protest at Jantar Mantar has been ongoing since clashes between protesters and police during the "Chalo Sansad" march.

The DMRC has clarified that normal traffic will be restored at the affected stations only after receiving permission from security agencies. Passengers have been advised to plan their travels based on alternative routes and the latest updates.
