Deoband (Saharanpur). Dussehra festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the premises of Maples Academy Deoband. On this occasion, the students were told that Dussehra is a festival to remove the defects hidden in the inner self. On this occasion, inter-house speech competitions were also organized among the students in the school, in which the students expressed the mood of Ravana in today's environment through their thoughts. Vanya Saxena of class 2 sang the Ramayana story in her sweet voice. During this, the students of class 3 to 5 portrayed the characters of Shri Ram, Sita ji, Laxman ji, Hanuman ji and Ravana etc. through a short dance drama. Which was commendable. In the same sequence, some girl students displayed their art by performing Dandiya dance. On the occasion of Dussehra, Ravana Dahan was also organized. Ravana Dahan means victory of good over evil. On this occasion, the Principal of the school, Dr. Chitra Joshi, threw light on the importance of Dussehra festival and congratulated everyone on Durga Ashtami, Navami and Dussehra festival.
