Saharanpur, District Magistrate Saharanpur Manish Bansal conducted a field inspection of the progress of the construction work of Sarsawa Airport. During the inspection, it was informed that the construction work of the Civil Enclave Terminal building is complete. But the work of finishing, cleaning work, installation and operation of machinery for the operation of the terminal is remaining. The working agency was instructed to complete the works in 15 days by increasing the number of labor. On knowing the updated progress status of the project at the work site, the concerned person informed about the current progress of the Sarsawa Airport Project. When the progress was not satisfactory, District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed the working agency to improve the progress of the work, otherwise action will be taken against the agency for not completing the work as per the stipulated date of completion. He also inspected the newly constructed road connecting Civil Enclave Terminal, Sarsawa to the National Highway. During the inspection, the newly constructed road was found to be uprooted at some places in the middle, which the Assistant Engineer present was instructed to fix and to level the road in such a way that there is no waterlogging on the road. He instructed for cleaning of the road and approach road and removal of gravel and other construction material on the road/approach road and cleaning of the roads. He instructed for plantation of trees in the middle of the approach road and on the side of the road and development of green belt between both the roads. He instructed the Additional Municipal Commissioner and District Horticulture Officer to identify the species of trees to be planted on the side of the road. Regarding the lighting arrangement on the road connecting the terminal to the National Highway, the Assistant Engineer present informed that it is proposed to arrange lighting on this road with solar lights. At the time of inspection, Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Chief Development Officer, Jayaranu S. DGM, Siddharth Assistant Engineer, Public Works Department, Om Prakash, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Mechanical Section, Saharanpur, Vicky Matoo Project Manager, implementing agency M/s EPAC Polymers Pvt. Ltd. were present.
