Saharanpur, Divisional Commissioner Saharanpur Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod reached Tehsil Behat and inspected the under-construction Sports College.

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod gave instructions to complete the construction of the college by the end of July. Sports College is to be made functional from the month of August-2024. The implementing agency informed that an installment of Rs 07 crore has been received from the government and an installment of Rs 21 crore has been approved by the government and will be received soon. On the spot, the work of brick coba, kitchen, CC flooring has been completed in 12 houses of category-1 and the work of electrification and painting is in progress, which was instructed to be completed immediately. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod also directed that Type-2 and Type-3 houses should be completed soon and all the materials, especially those used in electrification work, should be of high quality. The officials of the implementing agency informed that the work of shooting range will be completed by 31st July and the work of academic building will be completed by 31st August. The power substation is to be built with 11 KV capacity for which the amount has been deposited in the electricity department. Instructions were given that the substation should be made functional soon. The implementing agency assured that the guard room and main gate will be completed by July.
The Divisional Commissioner also directed that large-scale tree plantation should be done on both sides of the approach road and the internal road of the campus, in which high-height shady trees should be planted. Deputy Labor Commissioner, Saharanpur Division was directed to visit the site and check the status of registration of the labor working there and get the workers who are not registered registered, registered, and ensure that they are benefited from departmental schemes. The Divisional Commissioner directed the officials of the implementing agency and Sports Department that in compliance with the instructions of the government, the Sports College has to be made functional in the month of August-2024. Therefore, the work should be completed on war footing. At the time of inspection, Joint Development Commissioner, Saharanpur Division, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Saharanpur, Regional Keeda Officer, Saharanpur, Tehsildar, Behat and Project Manager of implementing agency and other officers were present.
