District Magistrate held a review meeting regarding cow shelters and livestock

Saharanpur, A meeting was convened in the new auditorium at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal regarding the establishment of temporary cow shelters, purchase of straw, CCTV cameras at cow shelters, inspection, implementation, operation and management of cow shelters. In the meeting, the DM instructed all SDMs and BDOs to make a joint visit and free the pasture land from illegal occupation and take it under the protection of the BDO and expedite the construction of cow shelters. He instructed all Block Development Officers to put up boards on the land marked for cow shelters and also display the plot number and area on it. He instructed to complete all the cow shelters under construction by the end of May. He instructed that adequate arrangements should be made in all the cow shelters to protect from heat. DM Manish Bansal directed the Chief Veterinary Officer to call a meeting to tender for the purchase of straw. While appealing for the donation of straw, he also asked the concerned senior officials to coordinate with the farmers and other elite citizens of the society. DM Manish Bansal directed that the sowing of Napier grass should be encouraged in the district and Napier grass should be sown on pasture land. He said that no negligence should be done in the medical system of protected animals. No laxity should be shown in the work of protection of destitute cows. He directed that the district level officer nominated for inspection should inspect every 15 days and immediately inform the BDO if any deficiency is found. Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Subodh Kumar, Sub-District Magistrate Behat Manvendra Singh, PDDRDA Pranay Krishna, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. M.P. Singh Gaur along with all the Block Development Officers and Executive Officers were present in the meeting.
