Saharanpur, A meeting was convened in the Collectorate auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra regarding the successful completion of the tenth International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024 with pomp and show. Yoga week will start from June 15 and will be celebrated till June 21.
Dr. Dinesh Chandra directed to organize the International Yoga Day program with maximum public participation, taking the cooperation of voluntary organizations working in the field of yoga. The theme of the tenth International Yoga Day to be held on June 21 at 06:00 am has been kept as Yoga for self and society. With the help of trained yoga instructors in the district, mass yoga programs will be organized at the district, tehsil, block, panchayat level. They should also be informed about this in time. He said that to ensure participation of general public on Yoga Day, publicity should be done through various networks. Participation of all district level officers of the district should be ensured in the program. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, while giving instructions to all the officers, said that the program organized on International Yoga Day in the district should be held in a grand manner, for which all arrangements should be done in time. He also appealed to the common citizens of the district to participate in the program on Yoga Day as much as possible. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Manglik, SP Traffic Siddharth Verma, IIA President Anoop Khanna, Regional Unani Officer Dr. Ram Kripal and senior officers of the concerned departments were present.
