Saharanpur, An intensive village-wise review of the work of revival of Singhali river in Tehsil Nakud was done in the new auditorium located in the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal. DM Manish Bansal gave strict instructions that the digging of width and depth should be done only under the marking done as per the records. If the depth and digging is found to be less, action will be taken against the concerned. He said that negligence should not be shown in the direction of their restoration to revive the rivers in the district. Officers should continuously inspect the work. He said that along with digging, Napier grass should be sown on the river banks. He instructed that Hume pipes should be laid at a certain distance on the banks. The villagers should also be motivated to dig the river and told about the benefits of the river. He instructed that the work should be completed by the end of June by employing additional workers. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Sub-District Magistrate Nakur Mrs. Sangeeta Raghav, PD DRDA Pranay Krishna, DC NRLM Indrapal Singh, Block Development Officer Gangoh Amit Kumar and other concerned officials were present.
