Saharanpur, District Magistrate Manish Bansal did a surprise inspection of the under-construction Sports College located in Tehsil Behat. During the inspection, he saw the admit block, hostel block and shooting range etc. and got to know the physical progress. He instructed that the work should be completed fast by increasing the number of workers so that the college can be operated properly from the next session. He expressed displeasure over the electrical work not being of good quality in the shooting range. When the finishing work was also found to be lacking, he instructed the XEN to do quality work. He said that the responsibility of the site in-charge should be fixed for this work. Along with completing the boundary wall as soon as possible, instructions were given to do the work according to the layout. DM Manish Bansal said that this is a state level sports college and any kind of compromise and negligence with quality will not be tolerated in its construction work. He said that after Lucknow, Saharanpur district is the second district where such a sports college is being built. He said that the children here have a lot of talent, who will bring glory to the district and the state at the national and international level in the coming times. National and international level facilities will be provided in this sports college for the study and training of the players. A team has been formed for the purchase of furniture and necessary equipment in the sports college, which is being assessed by the regional sports officer. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, SDM Behat Manvendra Singh, XEN of State Construction Corporation, concerned officers and contractors were present.
