(Uttar Pradesh) Saharanpur, A review meeting was convened regarding paddy procurement under the Minimum Support Price Scheme in the new auditorium located at the Collectorate under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Saharanpur Manish Bansal.

District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed that as per the intention of the government, drinking water, sitting and parking facilities should be provided to the farmers at the procurement centers. Ensure that the payment of farmers is made on time. Registration of farmers should be expedited. Ensure that the farmers' accounts are linked to NPCI at the time of paddy procurement. All SDMs and Marketing Inspectors should jointly inspect the paddy procurement centers and provide a report by tomorrow whether the facilities are available at the procurement centers as per the prescribed standards or not. Verification of all equipment should be done compulsorily and all equipment should be functional. The target of 5000 metric tonnes set for the district should be completed as soon as possible. DM Manish Bansal said that purchase at paddy procurement centers has started from 01 October, which will continue till 31 January 2025. He said that a total of 21 procurement centers have been established, including 11 of Food Department and 10 of PCF. The support price of paddy has been declared as Rs 2300 per quintal and grade A as Rs 2320 per quintal.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. Archana Dwivedi, District Food Marketing Officer RP Patel and other officers related to paddy procurement were present.
