Saharanpur, Gram Panchayat Secretary Orientation Workshop was organized in Vikas Bhawan Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra. In the meeting, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra said that development is possible only with the right information of schemes. He motivated the Secretary Gram Panchayat in a very touching way to be a sensitive citizen in the basic concept of development as well as to get information about schemes and financial rules efficiently. Along with creating a sense of compassion and responsibility towards mute animals and birds, he appealed to the Secretary Gram Panchayats that on the occasion of severe heat, arrangements for water, fodder etc. should be made at the cow shelters with utmost caution. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, describing the Secretary Gram Panchayat working at the level of Gram Panchayat as the main mirror of the government, directed that the implementation of development schemes should be done by giving priority to the eligibility of the poorest person. Dr. Dinesh Chandra said that action will be taken against those who violate financial rules. He said that Gram Vikas Adhikari is the pivot of development, without them development of rural areas is not possible. Perform your duties and responsibilities honestly. Those who do better work will be honored. He instructed everyone to plant fruit trees in the Gram Panchayat buildings.

Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, while addressing the workshop, appealed to the Gram Panchayat Secretaries to work as per the rules and stop the flow of wrong complaints related to public concern. Throwing light on the seriousness of all the schemes related to public concern, he instructed that by assimilating the guidelines related to the implementation of the schemes, the successful operation and effective implementation of the schemes should be done. District Panchayat Raj Officer Alok Sharma welcomed the guests by giving detailed information about the objective of the workshop. Executive Engineer, Jal Nigam (Rural) and PD DRDA also addressed the workshop. In the first session of the workshop, District Project Manager Vijay Yadav made a detailed presentation regarding the Gram Panchayat Vikas Yojana and provided information regarding the operation of the Gram Panchayat Vikas Yojana. In the second session of the workshop, Planning Assistant/Accountant of Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural), Om Prakash Verma, gave detailed information regarding the financial rules. In the third session, Sandeep Kumar, District Sanitation Advisor, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) explained in detail about solid and liquid waste management under ODF Plus. Village Development Officer and Village Panchayat Officer were present on this occasion. The workshop was conducted by District Sanitation Advisor, Shri Dev Bhaskar Pandey.
