Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh Police constable, resident of Ransura village of Deoband, Saharanpur, was recently hit by two drunk bike riders. Due to which he was badly injured. He was undergoing treatment in Delhi. Where  he died during treatment. The constable was posted in Aligarh. Today the last rites of the soldier were performed in his native village of Deoband. Due to the death of the soldier, the atmosphere in his native village remained sad. Deceased constable Rajat Tyagi was the nephew of BJP leader Deepak Tyagi, a former councilor in Deoband Municipality. On Tuesday night, near Quarsi intersection on Ramghat Road, a speeding bike had crushed a constable walking on the roadside. He had gone out to investigate the CCTV cameras in a theft case. The seriously injured constable was referred to a private hospital in Delhi. He died during treatment in the hospital. The constable had got married only a year ago.

Rajat Tyagi, a resident of village Ransura in Deoband area of Saharanpur, was posted in the SWAT team of the district. According to the police, there was a theft in Dehligate area a few days ago. In search of suspects, the SWAT team was watching CCTV cameras near Quarsi intersection on Tuesday night. After seeing the cameras of Kajaria Tiles showroom on Ramghat Road, Rajat moved towards Atrauli.

There were other soldiers also along with him. Then the bike coming from behind hit him. There were two people riding on it. Who were said to be drunk. The accused fled after the accident. Rajat was taken to Varun Trauma Center in critical condition. From where he was admitted to JN Medical College. The family took him to a private hospital in Delhi late at night. Where Rajat died during treatment. Quarry Inspector Vijaykant Sharma said that CCTV cameras are being searched in search of bike riders. Action will be taken on the basis of the complaint.
