Congress manifesto: MSP guarantee to farmers, Rs 1 lakh annually to women
New Delhi, As part of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress Party released a manifesto in the name of Nyaya Patra on Friday, during which Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Congress Party National President Mallikarjun Kharge and Party General Secretary KC Venugopal were present. Congress has given 25 guarantees in this time's manifesto. According to the Congress, the party's five justices - 'Shareholder Justice', 'Kisan Justice', 'Women's Justice', 'Labour Justice' and 'Youth Justice' - have been included in the manifesto.
The party has said that, if it comes to power, the party will conduct a nationwide caste census “to identify castes and sub-castes and their socio-economic conditions”. Congress said that based on the data, it will strengthen the agenda for those castes which need affirmative action. Congress will conduct caste census and remove 50 percent cap on reservation.
Congress said that the party will protect and maintain the fundamental rights of minorities. Maulana Azad Scholarship will be implemented again. Easy loans will be made available to minorities. Congress will first make arrangements for permanent jobs for the youth. 30 lakh government jobs will be given and strict law will be made to stop paper leaks.
Congress further said in its manifesto that the Congress Party will abolish every law that violates the right to privacy. Congress is against the idea of one nation one election. Congress will decriminalize the crime of defamation. Congress will give SSP guarantee. This has been a big demand of the farmers. Under Labor Justice MNREGA also, minimum wage of Rs. 400 will be given.
National President of Congress Party, Mallikarjun Kharge said that Congress will give Rs 100,000 annually to a woman from a poor family in the name of Mahalaxmi Yojana. Will immediately implement reservation for women in Parliament. Congress party will reserve half the government jobs for women from 2025 i.e. there will be 50 percent reservation.
