Chandramani got self support from Mahtari Vandan Yojana

Jagdalpur, Women of poor families have got self support with the help of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, run by the state government with the aim of economic self-reliance in the direction of women empowerment, continuous improvement in their health and nutrition level and strengthening their role in family decisions. The assistance amount of the said scheme is coming in handy for these women in difficult times along with fulfilling the needs of the house. For the family of Chandramani Bhadre, resident of Bakawand of Bastar district, this assistance of the scheme is no less than a boon at present.
Beneficiary Mrs. Chandramani, wife of Arjun Bhadre, resident of Bakawand block headquarters of Bastar district, tells that her family does not have agricultural land, both husband and wife somehow support the 6-member family by working as laborers. Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the state government is now proving to be an important support for her family. Due to this, Chandramani is getting one thousand rupees and her mother-in-law Rukni is getting 500 rupees from Mahtari Vandan Yojana and 500 rupees under old age pension scheme. Which is not much for this poor family but is proving useful. Out of her two children, she is now teaching her elder daughter Rambha in 7th standard while her younger daughter Reshma is currently going to Anganwadi Centre. Describing the assistance of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the government as a big help for the family, Chandramani says that she has deposited the approximately 10 thousand rupees she received under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana on the birth of two daughters in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana in view of future needs. Which can be useful for these two girls when they grow up.
