Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: A divisional review meeting was convened with divisional officers of various departments in the Circuit House auditorium under the chairmanship of Dr. Devendra Sharma, Chairman of State Child Rights Protection Commission.
District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, Chief Development Officer Shamli Vinay Kumar Tiwari, Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. Archana Dwivedi, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Muzaffarnagar Gajendra Kumar jointly welcomed the Hon'ble Chairman by presenting a picture of Maa Shakumbhari and a shawl. While providing information about Mission Vatsalya Yojana, Dr. Devendra Sharma strictly instructed all the officers of the division to completely stop child marriage, child labor, child begging, child trafficking, child sexual exploitation in the division and directed to make the general public aware by running a campaign. He directed all the district level officers of the division to take necessary action to try to free children from drug abuse by running a campaign against drug abuse and all rescued children were compulsorily presented before the child welfare committee. Dr. Devendra Sharma, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh State Child Rights Protection Commission, held a meeting with the officers at the Circuit House and got information about the progress of the campaign being run against drug abuse. He said that drug abuse is taking away the smile from the faces of small children. Drug abuse knowingly or unknowingly is not only spoiling the future of children but is also promoting crime in the future. We all should work with team spirit and eradicate the drug business completely. He said that smoking shops should not be set up around schools. Child marriage and begging should be completely banned. He also directed to create Prahari Club in schools and create public awareness about drug abuse. He said that the Chief Minister is very sensitive towards the future of children and women. Keeping in mind the future of children affected by the Corona transition period, under the operation of the Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana, Rs 4000 per month is being sent to the accounts of parents for the upbringing of children in the district. Under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, daughters are being given the benefit of an amount of Rs 25000. Girls affected by an unpleasant accident have been given the benefit of Rani Laxmibai Yojana. He said that through the cooperation and awareness of the general public, we all should run a campaign against drugs and there should be a smile on the faces of children. The Chairman was directed to take action to provide maximum benefit to the general public from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Bal Seva Yojana (General), Sponsorship Scheme, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Destitute Women Pension Scheme after the death of Husband. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra informed the Chairman about providing maximum benefit to the beneficiaries from various beneficiary-oriented schemes being run by the government. He assured that the instructions given by you will be followed to the letter. District Probation Officer Abhishek Kumar Pandey provided information to the Hon'ble Chairman about the progress of beneficiary schemes being run in the district, UP Mukhyamantri Balseva Yojana (Covid/General), Sponsorship Scheme, UP Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, Destitute Women Pension Scheme after the death of husband and information was provided about the action taken to prevent child marriage, child labour, child begging. Tiwari, District School Inspector, District Basic Education Officer and other district level officers, Chairman and members of Child Welfare Committee were present in the meeting.
