Saharanpur | Deoband, In the camp organized in Nagar Palika Parishad Auditorium, councilors, employees and dignitaries were given detailed information about Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. During this, they were also made aware of other facilities including subsidy along with installation of the plant. In the program organized in Palika Auditorium, Planning Officer Vivek Sharma said that under PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, solar panel plants are being installed at the homes of consumers. He said that the estimated cost of a plant of 1 to 10 kilowatt capacity is about 60-65 thousand rupees per kilowatt. After installing the plant, the central and state government subsidy will be sent directly to the accounts of the consumers. He said that to get the benefit of the scheme, one has to apply online. The money spent by the consumer in setting up solar panel plants is reimbursed in 3 to 4 years in the form of savings on electricity bills. A subsidy of Rs. 90 thousand will be available on 2 kilowatts and Rs. 1.08 lakh on 3 kilowatts. Consumers can avail the benefits of this scheme and get 300 units of electricity for free. During this, EO Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Rai, municipal employees, councilors and other dignitaries were present.
