Saharanpur (Puvarka), bike riding couple returning from wedding ceremony died after being crushed by a private bus. According to the information received, the bike riding couple returning from the wedding ceremony was crushed by a private bus near Meharbani village on Behat Road. The couple died on the spot in the accident. After the accident, the bus driver absconded. Police took the bus into custody and sent the bodies for postmortem. Samay Singh (58) son of Bahadur Singh, resident of village Bijopura of Dehat Kotwali area, had gone to a wedding ceremony in Sumli village with his wife Mamo on bike. Both were returning to their village. As soon as they passed Devla on Behat Road, a private bus coming from Behat to Saharanpur crushed the bike riding couple near Meharbani culvert. Both of them died on the spot in the accident. After the accident, a crowd of people gathered at the accident spot. There was a long line of vehicles on both sides. As soon as the news came, the Dehat Kotwali police reached the spot and took the bodies in their custody and got the vehicles removed from both sides. Seeing the opportunity, the bus driver fled. The police sent both the bodies to the mortuary and took the bus in their custody.
When this accident happened in Meherbani village, Ilmchand, a cyclist from Randaul, also got hit. Fortunately, he narrowly escaped from being hit by the bus. The police sent him to the hospital in an injured condition. As soon as the family members of the deceased came to know about the accident, they also reached the accident spot and after that also went to the district hospital. Where the bodies of the deceased were kept. There is an uproar among the family members due to the death of the couple in the accident.
