Saharanpur | Deoband, As part of the preparations for the Kanwar Yatra, the Nagar Palika Parishad Deoband launched an encroachment removal campaign. During this, the goods kept illegally on the main roads were removed and a total fine of Rs 8200 was also collected from the encroachers. This campaign started from outside the SDM office on State Highway-59, which went on till Deoband-Mangalore road and Sampla road. The Nagar Palika team, with the help of the police force, seized the goods spread on the roads by the shops and thela walas to make the roads encroachment free. This sudden action created panic among the encroachers. The team showed strictness and warned that if encroachment is done again in the future, strict legal action will be taken. Vikas Chaudhary, Poppin Kumar, Birla Sood, Sajid Hasan, Rishabh Garg of the Municipality were present during the encroachment removal drive.
