Animal health fair organized in Rupadi Gurjar, Saharanpur
Take proper care of animals in summer, give them balanced diet: Dean Dr. Rajeev Singh

Saharanpur, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology and Department of Animal Husbandry, through a project funded by the courtesy of IFFCO Tokio General Insurance Limited, organized the Animal Health Fair in village Roopdi Gurjar under the able guidance of Dr. K.K. Singh, Vice Chancellor of the Agricultural University. Dr. Rajeev Singh, Dean of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, said that scorching heat, strong dust storm and rising temperature can cause fever, dehydration and salt deficiency in the body in animals. Dr. Rajbir Singh, the pioneer of the project, said that milk production can be maintained only by protecting the animals from the strong, hot and dry winds of summer afternoon.
Head of the Department of Medicine, Prof. Amit Verma said that to avoid the loss of essential body salts in the animals, farmers must give a mixture of 50 grams of salt mixed with fodder and water and give a balanced diet to the dairy animals so that their milk production capacity increases. In the camp, Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. MP Singh Gaur, Dr. K.K. Nagar, Dr. Subodh Goyal, Dr. Amit Verma, Dr. Arvind Singh, Dr. Ajit Kumar Singh, Dr. Vikas Jaiswal, Dr. Ashutosh Tripathi, Dr. Vishnu Rai and Mr. Aman Livestock Extension Officer examined 124 animals free of cost. Distributed medicines. Village head Shri Ilam Singh provided special support for the successful organization of the camp.
