Saharanpur, District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra, in view of the voting and counting of votes in the state of Haryana and Himachal Pradesh under the Lok Sabha General Election, with the objective of maintaining public peace and conducting free, fair and peaceful voting in the 03 kilometer area of the border areas of Saharanpur district. all from Instructions have been given to keep excise licensed shops closed.
Dr. Dinesh Chandra, in view of the elections in Haryana state, from 06:00 pm on 23 May 2024 till the end of voting on 25 May 2024 and in view of the elections in Himachal Pradesh, from 06:00 pm on 30 May 2024 till the end of voting on 01 June 2024. Instructions were given to keep the excise license shops of 03 km area in the border areas of Saharanpur closed and declare it a dry day on the counting day of 04th June. He gave instructions to control the limit of possession of narcotics. He said that no consideration will be paid to the licensees for the period of closure.
