A herd of dogs mauled a four-year-old child to death

Saharanpur (Rampur Maniharan). A herd of dogs mauled a four-year-old child Vishant, son of Vinay, to death in Mazra Qazipur village of Islamnagar police station area. Vishant was the only son in the family. According to the information received, Vinay, a resident of Mazra Qazipur, was working in the field with his wife Sapna. They had planted vegetables in the field. He had also taken his four-year-old son Vishant along with him. The husband and wife started working in the field. At the same time, the child got separated from them while playing. Then a herd of five to six dogs came into the field. The herd of dogs dragged the child to another field. Where the child was badly mauled. Hearing the child's scream, Vinay and Sapna rushed there but by then the dogs had killed their child. As soon as they came to know about it, people from the village also reached the spot. Vishant was Vinay's only son. Now he has two daughters, one of whom is disabled. Vinay is running his family by working as a labourer.
The way the pack of stray dogs has attacked the child has created panic among the people. People are scared of going to the fields. The villagers have demanded that the stray dogs be caught so that such an incident does not happen again. The child's death has caused turmoil in his family.
