A BCCI source said about this that the board has requested Kohli to take some time before taking a decision on retirement. Kohli had demanded captaincy

Amidst all this, a Times of India report revealed that Virat Kohli had requested the BCCI for Test captaincy. However, the board rejected it as they now want a young player to captain the team.
