After this, Chennai also lost their second wicket in the form of Daryl Mitchell (4) on the score of 19 runs. However, after this Ajinkya Rahane (33) and Rachin Ravindra (61) took Chennai out of trouble with a partnership of 66 runs in 41 balls for the third wicket.
Rahane became the victim of Lockie Ferguson on the first ball of the 10th over. Rahane hit three fours and a six in 22 balls. After his dismissal, Shivam Dubey (7) came to bat. Both added 30 runs for the fourth wicket. But due to miscoordination on the last ball of the 13th over, Dubey got Ravindra run out. Ravindra hit five fours and three sixes in 37 balls.
