Bengaluru. Rajasthan Royals (RR) team, which was kneeling after coming close to victory, could not change its luck even in Bengaluru. Once again it lost the winning game. After Yashasvi Jaiswal (49), Dhruv Jurel (47), Nitish Rana (28) and captain Riyan Parag (22) were taking the Royals team towards the target rapidly while chasing the target of 206 runs. But none of these batsmen could stay till the end to take the responsibility of winning and the team collapsed like a pack of cards in the slog overs. This is RCB's first win at home this season.

In the last overs, Josh Hazelwoaod used his experience and increased the pressure with his art of making the batsmen empty the balls and they started falling apart. Hazelwood took 4 wickets for 33 runs in this match. Due to this, Rajasthan Royals lost the match by 11 runs.

RCB is now third in the table with 12 points. Ahead of them are Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC), who also have 12 points each. This was Rajasthan Royals' 5th consecutive loss.

Earlier, half-centuries from star batsmen Virat Kohli (70 runs) and Devdutt Padikkal (50 runs) and a 95-run partnership in 51 balls for the second wicket between the two helped RCB post a competitive score of 205 for five.

Rajasthan Royals could only manage 194 for 9 in 20 overs. At one point, they looked ahead of RCB at every turn in this match. But Josh Hazlewood bowled brilliantly in the 17th and 19th overs to bring RCB back into the match.

Shubham Dubey and Jurel scored 22 runs in the 18th over against Bhuvneshwar Kumar, leaving Rajasthan needing only 18 runs in two overs to win. But in the 19th over, Hazelwood took two wickets for just one run, including the wicket of Jurel (47 runs). This ensured RCB's victory.

Jurrel was out after the review and then Hazelwood took the wicket of Jofra Archer on the next ball while Yash Dayal dismissed Shubham Dubey (12 runs) and Wanindu Hasaranga (01) in the last over.

Rajasthan Royals may have lost two wickets in the powerplay but they had scored 72 runs in six overs, while RCB's score in the powerplay was 59 runs without losing a wicket. While RCB's score was 72 runs in 9 overs, Rajasthan's team had scored 110 runs for two wickets and was moving towards victory. But Hazelwood dashed his hopes.
