Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher held a press conference at Shambhu Border, Shambhu Morcha. He said on the statements given by BJP leaders that there is inconsistent statements. On one hand, farmers are being stopped from going to Delhi, on the other hand the Agriculture Minister says that if farmers want to go to Delhi on foot, no one will stop them. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar says that farmers should come to Delhi through other routes and vehicles. Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij gave a statement that if farmers come like on 6 and 8 December, then Haryana Police will welcome them in the same way. Farmer leader Pandher said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is arriving in Haryana today, should answer the questions of the farmers as to why farmers cannot go to their capital. He said that the Prime Minister is arriving in Haryana today, due to which the border has been sealed, he said that we had already made it clear that we will go to Delhi on foot. We will not oppose the Prime Minister wherever he comes. Pandher said that the security forces are especially targeting leaders from Punjab.
