Satta kingpin has been arrested in Halwara, Ludhiana. Police station Jodhan under district Ludhiana rural has arrested the accused who was doing illegal betting business through Satta King app. The accused has been identified as Harminder Singh resident Gujjarwal. Police raided the house of the accused. A huge amount of cash has also been recovered from the house.

DSP Dakha Varinder Singh Khosa said that the accused was running the betting business on a very large scale from his house itself. Police station in-charge Sahibmeet Singh along with the police party raided the house of Harminder Singh and arrested him red handed. Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand 540 earned from betting has been recovered from the house of the accused.

Investigation revealed that Harminder Singh used to keep all the accounts of the betting business in a register, which has a long list of customers. The register also contains the names of the customers and the record of winnings and losses. He had trapped the people of Gujjarwal and many nearby villages in his web by luring them to earn Rs 400 by investing Rs 20. The complete details of the betting numbers etc. are written in the register, which has been seized by the police.

DSP Khosa said that investigation of the Satta King website has also been started, in which it will be cracked with the help of cyber experts and other technical experts. He said that this betting case can be very big and the police will get to the bottom of it. The accused Harminder Singh has been produced in the court and taken on two-day police remand. He is being interrogated. A case has been registered against Harminder Singh under various criminal sections including Gambling Act and fraud.
