A major accident took place at midnight on the National Highway in Khanna, Punjab. Here, a bus carrying workers from Bihar and UP was hit from behind by a speeding truck, due to which the bus collided with an electric transformer after going about 150 meters away. 25 to 30 workers were injured in the accident. Some women and children are also among the injured. He was admitted to Civil Hospital Khanna. It is being told that the tire of the truck burst due to which the driver lost control and the truck collided with the bus. According to the information, about 65 workers from Bihar and UP were coming to Punjab to plant paddy in the bus. Half of the labour had to get down at Khanna, at around 12.30 pm the bus stopped at the cut in front of Guru Amardas Market on the National Highway. Some workers had just got down when a speeding truck hit the bus, the collision was so strong that its sound was heard far away, the workers screamed, the bus collided with the transformer about 150 meters away and there was a huge explosion. The bus was saved from catching fire in the accident, otherwise many labourers could have been burnt alive. After colliding with the truck, when the bus hit the transformer, there was an explosion and flames of fire also rose. Care was also taken that the current did not enter the bus, otherwise it could have caused a lot of damage. Overall, there was no loss of life in this accident. According to Police Station City 2 Chief Gurmeet Singh, the accident took place due to a tyre bursting of the truck. Rajesh, a resident of Bettiah, said that about 30 to 35 people were going to Punjab for sowing paddy. During this time the accident happened. He told that the bus was stopped and we got down and during this time a truck hit it from behind, due to this the accident happened. There were 60 to 65 people in the bus.
