Champai Soren announced to form a new party
Told with whom he will form an alliance
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, rebelling against JMM, on Wednesday announced to form a new political party. Soren also said that he will keep the option of alliance with other parties open. Three days ago, he had accused Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of insulting him. After which speculations of his joining BJP had intensified.
Champai Soren said, 'I will not retire, I will form a new party, strengthen the new party and if I find a good friend on the way, I will move forward with him. Everything will be clear in a week.' Earlier, Champai Soren had said on Sunday that as Chief Minister he suffered a lot of humiliation, after which he was forced to look for an alternative path.
Champai Soren made these allegations against JMM
He alleged that in the first week of July, the party leadership suddenly canceled all his government programs without informing him. Champai Soren said, 'On asking, I came to know that a meeting of the legislative party has been called by the coalition on July 3 and I was told that till then you cannot attend any program as the Chief Minister.'
'The agenda of the meeting was not even told'
He questioned, 'Can there be anything more humiliating in democracy than someone else cancelling the programs of a Chief Minister?' Champai Soren claimed, the Chief Minister has the right to call a meeting of the legislative party, but I was not even told the agenda of the meeting.
The former Chief Minister said, 'During the meeting, I was asked to resign. I was surprised, but I had no greed for power, so I immediately resigned, but my heart was emotional due to the injury to my self-respect.' He wrote that he was emotional and was trying to control his tears.
