Who won in Jharkhand's 19 Nagar Panchayats?

Jharkhand has a total of nine Nagar Panchayats. These are: Banshidhar Nagar (Garhwa), Manjhiaon (Garhwa), Hussainabad (Palamu), Hariharganj (Palamu), Chhatarpur (Palamu), Latehar, Koderma, Domchanch (Koderma), Badki Saraiya (Giridih), Dhanwar (Giridih), Mahagama, Rajmahal (Sahibganj), Barharwa (Sahibganj), Basukinath (Dumka), Jamtara, Bundu (Ranchi), Khunti, Saraikela, and Chakulia (East Singhbhum).
The results of the Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Council elections in Jharkhand have also been announced. Independent candidates won 17 of these, followed by BJP-supported candidates in 10, JMM-supported candidates in 9, Congress-supported candidates in 2, and CPI(ML)-supported candidates in 1. For the post of Nagar Panchayat President, Ajay Bharti from Hussainabad, Kumari Sheela Choudhary from Hariharganj, Arvind Gupta from Chhattarpur, Sadhna Devi from Sri Banshidharnagar, Sumitra Devi from Majhiaon, Sajid Hussain Lallu from Koderma, Veena Devi from Basukinath, and Asha Gupta from Jamtara won as independents.
BJP-supported winners include Mahesh Singh from Latehar, Umesh Verma from Domchanch, Shobha Devi from Barkisaraiya, Prabodh Soren from Mahagama, Arpita Das from Barharwa, and Rani Tuti from Khunti. JMM-supported candidates include Ketabudin from Rajmahal, Jitendra Oraon from Bundu, Manoj Kumar Choudhary from Seraikela, and Somwari Soren from Chakulia, while Vinay Kumar Santhalia was elected as a CPI(ML)-supported candidate from Dhanwar.
In the results for the Municipal Council President post, Ashish Soni from Garhwa, Geeta Devi from Vishrampur, Ataur Rahman from Chatra, Ramesh Harshdhar from Jhumritilaiya, Sushil Ramani from Godda, Shabri Pal from Pakur, Sunita Devi from Chirkunda, Oliver Lakra from Simdega, and Parvez Alam from Kapali won in the Independent category. BJP-supported candidates included Meeti Kumari from Madhupur, Jayshree Devi from Mihijam, Anil Oraon from Lohardaga, and Shakuntala Oraon from Gumla.
JMM-supported candidates included Ramnath Paswan from Sahibganj, Abhishek Chaurasia from Dumka, Shani Oraon from Chakradharpur, Nitin Prakash from Chaibasa, and Naushaan Khan from Jugsalai. Congress-supported candidates included Nirmala Devi from Phusro and Kusumlata Kumari from Ramgarh. It is clear from the declared results that this time there was a multi-cornered contest in the urban bodies of the state and the voters gave importance to local issues, personal image and ground activism.
