Committee protests against misbehavior with sevayats
(Punjab) Amritsar, 10-day Langur Mela began at the historic Durgiana Temple in Amritsar with the beginning of Narasimha. In this fair, parents dress their children as 'langoor' and visit the temple every morning and evening to worship Hanuman ji to meet him.
It is worth noting that parents of Indian origin from all over the world come to Amritsar to participate in this festival. A group of 'langoors' also lives in the temple premises.
But there are some groups of langoors who bully and misbehave with the temple committee and today the sevayats of Giriraj temple once again had to face misbehavior.
After which all the sevadars stopped their service and staged a dharna outside the police post Durgiana temple, where they alleged that the station in-charge is not performing his duty properly and refused to listen to them.
On this occasion, the temple committee protested strongly against the Punjab government and the police administration.
