Merta Road, The fair of Lord Parshvanath was held on Friday in the ancient Phalvriddhi Parshvanath Jain temple located in Merta Road. Flag hoisting was done at 10 am. Varghoda was taken out after 2 pm. Religious programs were also organized in the temple premises. People of Jain community took darshan of Lord Parshvanath and made wishes.
Like every year, this year also the fair held on Asoj in the Parshvanath temple premises in Merta Road was in full swing on Friday. Religious programs were held throughout the day. On this occasion, temple trust president Pannalal Singhvi, secretary Chancharalmal Nahar and a large number of devotees of Jain community were present. Varghoda was taken out after Panch Kalyanak puja at 2 pm. Lord was seated in the chariot and Varghoda was taken out around the temple with band music. The statues of Lord Parshvanath and Adi Bhairavdev adorned the procession. A silver Rewari was taken out along with the Varghoda. A large number of Jain devotees from Merta Road as well as Kuchera, Khajwana, Merta City of Nagaur district, Jaitaran, Anandpur Kalu, Raipur of Pali district as well as from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Chennai, Bangalore etc. reached the fair. People of the Jain community enjoyed the swings etc. along with the darshan. On the other hand, the villagers also enjoyed ice cream, sweets, namkeen etc. Similarly, Lord Parshvanath seated in the silver Rewari was taken to the Brahmani Mata pond premises. A large number of devotees were present in the Rewari.
