Today, due to cloud burst in Lincholi on the Kedarnath walking path, the water level of Mandakini has increased a lot. Drains overflowed due to cloud burst. There is no news of any loss of life in this accident yet.

Around 50 to 200 pilgrims are stranded due to cloud burst in Bhim Bali on the Kedarnath walking path. 30 meters of the path has been damaged due to heavy boulders. Movement has stopped due to damage to the walking path. There has been heavy damage due to cloud burst after torrential rain. There is no news of any casualty so far. The administration team is engaged in relief and rescue work.

River turned into lake due to falling of stones

Due to rain in Kedarnath for several hours and falling of stones near Lincholi and Mahabali, Mandakini river has started looking like a lake. Hot Kund has been washed away in Gaurikund. Boulders have come on the footpath. People in Gaurikund and Sonprayag started running here and there screaming in fear.

Instructions given to remain alert

Due to heavy rains, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took information about the areas affected by heavy rains and relief and rescue operations from the Disaster Management Secretary over the phone. Also, all the officials of the concerned department have been instructed to remain alert for 24 hours.

Administration appealed to remain alert

At present, the Kedarnath foot journey route is closed at many places and the journey has also been stopped for the time being. The situation is chaotic due to rain, due to which people are facing problems. The continuous rain in Uttarakhand is wreaking havoc on the people. Many connecting roads have been disrupted due to heavy rains. At the same time, in view of heavy rains, the administration has appealed to the people to remain alert.

Yatra stopped on DM's orders

Yatra has been stopped on the orders of DM Rudraprayag Saurabh Gaharwar. The passengers were taken to helipad and other places safely. SDRF personnel took charge on the banks of Mandakini river and removed the people. The hospital of Sonprayag was evacuated and people were taken towards Trijuginarayan road.
