A bike theft accused in police custody escaped from Merta Road Police Station in Merta Road, Nagaur district. According to the information received, the accused escaped by breaking the grill of the toilet window on the pretext of going to the toilet. The police became alert as soon as the theft accused escaped and different teams have been formed to catch the accused, who are engaged in raids. The incident took place at around 9 am on Wednesday, Merta Road Police Station. The escape of the accused from police custody is raising questions on the working system of the police. However, after Teji's escape, the local police administration came on alert mode and started searching for the accused in every nook and corner of Merta Road, but despite trying hard throughout the day, the accused could not be traced. A blockade has also been done in the entire Nagaur district due to the escape of the accused. Regarding this entire matter, Merta DSP Pintu Kumar said- On Tuesday, Kathauti resident Dilip (29) son of Bhanwarlal Beda was arrested in the case of bike theft. The police was interrogating the accused in the bike theft case. On Wednesday morning, the accused of theft escaped from Merta Road Police Station by removing the grill of the toilet.
Merta DSP said that as soon as we got the information, we reached the spot and formed teams to catch the accused. Police are investigating this entire matter. At present, the first priority is to catch the accused again, so different teams have been sent to raid the possible hideouts. Police have conducted a blockade in the district to catch the accused.
