Satna, India is a country of youth, and the world's fastest emerging power, but in a way, it is also the country that misuses power the most. Even at the time of independence, there would not have been so much anarchy as is seen in 21st century India. In the last ten years, the youth of the country have become more inclined towards drugs, there was a time when morality was at its peak in Indian society, but due to change in time and misuse of modern technologies, it continued to decline. In society, nuclear families have now replaced joint families, due to which children who used to learn moral lessons from their grandparents, now there is neither a grandmother nor a grandfather in the house to teach them the lessons of morality! Who can teach the children the lesson of right and wrong. Due to busyness in life, parents are often not able to pay much attention to the children, due to which today the youth is also forgetting the lessons of morality. If we look at any city, town or village of the country, most of the youth will be found to be addicted to some drug or the other. Many a times, in the nearby areas, youth can be seen consuming drugs on the road or on the roadside. Can the youth power of the country really help in the development of the country? Did the great heroes of the country sacrifice their lives for this situation?

For this, four lines of a self-composed poem are apt:

“The country is free, but we should also celebrate the freedom,

Should we write what is happening in the country?” If you have forgotten your history, my friends,

Then we should all be together and see hope.

If we ignore the illusion of statistics and pay attention to the facts of reality, then the condition of the youth in the country is not very good. It would be appropriate to say that today the youth of the country, on whom the future of the country depends, is now making his own future dark. Today's youth not only appears helpless and powerless but is also seen straying from his path. The word youth does not only mean the male category, but women are also equally included in it.

These youth are now exploiting both their and the country's power by indulging in different types of intoxicants in the society. The grip of drugs and intoxicants has now reached small cities, towns and villages. Alcohol, tobacco, gutkha, hashish, marijuana, opium and various kinds of intoxicant pills have now become popular not only among the youth but also among small children and they are also exploiting them, the youth of the society are in the grip of addiction to such an extent that they even use cough medicine as an intoxicant, it is also being seen in our society that the children of the poor section living in the cities are now using the material used for repairing punctures in vehicles as an intoxicant. In today's young generation, drug addiction is associated with looking cool. If a boy takes drugs, he does not feel ashamed but boasts about it with great pride. And the bad effect of this is that the spread of drug addiction has become so widespread that the youth often gets caught in its clutches from childhood itself. Now even a child studying in the sixth grade wants to take drugs once. Usually, this happens due to the desire to know something new. Sometimes they see it being used on television, mobile or in the elders of their house. Usually, they try it once secretly as a hobby and then slowly they get addicted to it. The spread of drug addiction in the society has become so much that children start taking drugs regularly at the age of adolescence. Due to drug addiction, many types of diseases occur such as kidney, liver, lung damage. Now, due to the use of various types of medicines, the youth are also getting diseases like epilepsy, and many times due to serious diseases like cancer, they die at a young age. And due to this, the death toll in India is also increasing continuously. These are just figures, but the death of even one person from a house causes immense pain to that family. A person who consumes drugs is of a very selfish nature. He is only concerned about his addiction, his happiness. It does not matter to him that if he gets a serious disease, what will happen to his family? Due to drug addiction, many times they also commit acts like theft, robbery and violence. While it was expected from the youth of the country that they will make the future of the country glorious, on the contrary, today's youth is taking the country towards shame. Directly or indirectly, the government machinery is also a part of this curse because it is their livelihood. Undoubtedly, it is the government's responsibility to pay attention to this issue and alert the general public from time to time, but the youth should also be concerned about their future as well as the country's future. Sometimes newspapers ponder over this issue while performing their duties, but the most important thing is that our youth should understand its strength and not only help in its own development but also contribute to the country's development.
