Satna, Municipal Council Kothi of the district has started the 'Women for Tree' plantation campaign under the 'Amrit Mitra' initiative. On Thursday, women of self-help groups were given training in plantation in this campaign. The first phase of the campaign is being run under the Amrit Mitra Initiative under the Women for Tree Campaign, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. This campaign is being conducted on the instructions of the Urban Development and Housing Department. In this sequence, on Thursday, the site near the park and market situated Deviganj pond in ward number 07 was inspected. On Thursday, members of the self-help group inspected the sites. During the inspection, documents were prepared through photos and videos. Giving information, CMO of Municipal Council Kothi Punjab Singh said that the campaign will run from June 5, 2025 to August 30, 2025. Its main objective is to expand the green area. This will maintain ecological balance and citizens will get a healthy lifestyle. Along with this, women of self-help groups will also get economic self-reliance. During this, all the women were honored by the Municipal Council Officer and a message of awareness towards the environment was given.
During this, Kothi Nagar Panchayat President Sukhwanti Bunkar, Municipal Council Officer Punjab Singh, Sunita Gautam, Vikrant Raj Khatik, ND Tiwari, Abhijeet Singh, Pushpendra Singh, Pankaj Tiwari, Kailash Kushwaha, Ashok Bunkar, Shivam Gupta, Ambika Singh Baghel along with all the Municipal Council employees and all the women of Amrit Swayam Group were present.
