Shahdol. In this district of MP, the forest department of Shahdol is daring to wreak havoc on the houses built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. What is the story behind this, this is confirmed by the complaint of Dalits. Imagine, suddenly in the early morning, a house is destroyed in anyone's house. Government officials with a huge crowd are going to demolish the house, vacate it or else you will be seen in jail, they are seen roaring, this is not a script of any film, this is the reality of the officials of the office of Forest Range Officer Byahari, who have not only refreshed the memories of Talibani rulers but also want to prove that now a handful of officials will finish off the tribal, Dalit population from the tribal dominated area Shahdol, that is why the officials neither care about the dignity of women nor the dream of the country's popular Prime Minister "Roof over the head of every poor". Otherwise, just two days before the Holi festival, on the morning of 12 March 2025, they would not have come with bulldozers to destroy the dreams of Dalits and tribals. How the tribal MLAs elected from the three assembly constituencies of the district do not have a clue about this is beyond understanding.
Actually the matter is of Forest Range Byahari where the staff of the forest department is somehow making a living by doing farming for more than fifty years, who were recently given concrete roofs by the Prime Minister. This roof has been received due to the housing scheme, and the forest staff is trying very hard to demolish it. The matter is extremely sensitive, which has been ignored by the local administration as well as the district administration and has done injustice to the Dalits and Adivasis.

No hearing for Dalits...

In this case, the victims include Durghatiya Bai, Sumitra Charmakar, Asha Bai, Mamta, Neeta and more than 20 other children and elderly people, beating their heads, pleaded for justice at the threshold of the police station Byahari, complaining about the grave injustice, but the setting of the forest staff and the police department, before writing their report, the missing server and the absent operator came in the way, but after waiting for hours, they could not get anything, but as soon as the forest department officers arrived, the police pen started writing the report at a fast speed from 5G to 10G. This time the police pen hatched a conspiracy to defeat the Dalits and Adivasis by using the administrative Brahmastra of obstruction in government work.

Cruelty on the poor, mercy on the influential...

It is worth mentioning that if a proper administrative investigation is done in this case, then although the forest area was the ancestral possession of Dalits and Adivasis, then why was it not removed earlier. Now when the poor have got the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and have got a roof, then there is a huge lapse in monitoring in this forest area, for which the forest department should take responsibility. Let us tell you that these are the same officers of the office of Forest Range Officer Byahari, under whose nose, right next to it, an influential person occupied the forest land and built a three-storey building and could not do anything about it. Here, by showing administrative power on the helpless poor, the double standards of law and order of the officers in the office of Forest Range Officer Byahari have been proved. For which they will have to answer.
