According to the Panchang, the Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month will start from 12:19 am on October 3, and it will end the next day at 2:58 am on October 4. According to the Udaya date, Shardiya Navratri will start from 3 October 2024, Thursday and this festival will end on 12 October 2024, Saturday.

Wear clothes of these colors for 9 days of Navratri
First day
On the first day of Navratri, Ghatasthapana is done and Maa Shailputri is worshiped. The color of Maa Shailputri is white and white color is considered the most dear to her. Therefore, it is considered very auspicious to worship Maa Shailputri by wearing white clothes on the first day of Navratri.

Second day
On the second day of Navratri, Maa Brahmacharini is worshiped. Maa Brahmacharini is also considered to be fond of white clothes. Therefore, white clothes should be worn during worship on the second day of Navratri as well.

Third day
On the third day of Navratri, Maa Chandraghanta is worshipped. Red colour is considered very dear to Maa Durga. On this day, one should wear red coloured clothes and worship the Chandraghanta form of Maa Durga.

Fourth day

Sixth day
