One such sadhana is Panch Dhuni Tapasya, which is also called Agni Snan Sadhana, which started from the Amrit Snan festival of Basant Panchami.

This sadhana is called Panch Dhuni Tapasya, which is also known by the common devotees as Agni Snan Sadhana. In this sadhna, the sadhak makes several circles of burning fire around him and sits in the middle of them and does his sadhna. These ascetics do their sadhna by sitting in a circle of many times more heat than the fire whose slight flame can burn a human's skin.

There is a tradition of this fire bath sadhna in Khalsa of Vaishnav Akhara, which is done after reaching a state of extreme sacrifice and restraint. Mahant Raghav Das of Shri Digambar Ani Akhara tells that Agni Sadhna is a special sadhna of the sadhaks of All India Panch Terah Bhai Tyagi Khalsa of Digambar Ani Akhara, the head Akhara of Vaishnav Akharas. This sadhna lasts for eighteen years. The purpose behind completing this ritual is not only to fulfill the purpose of sadhna but also to test the ability and tolerance of the sadhu. After undergoing this rigorous penance for 5 months a year for 18 consecutive years, the saint gets the title of Vaishnava.
