Damoh, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Mukesh Jain said that various awareness activities were organized by the Health Department for health security. A five-day eye, bone and TB disease check-up and treatment camp was started at the district level. At the same time, under Anemia Mukt Bharat at the block level including the urban area Damoh, the RBSK team organized a health discussion on the importance of iron tablets useful in preventing anemia in colleges and schools and also checked HB level and eye disorders among the students.

63 patients benefitted on the first day of the five-day camp organized in DEIC Bhawan

CMHO Dr. Jain said that the DEIC camp located in the district hospital premises is being run. In the center, the health check-up of the patients was done by Ophthalmologist Dr. Chhaya Rai. The health check-up of the patients with bone related problems was done by Ophthalmologist Dr. Hemraj Singh. During the camp, 63 patients got health benefits. 17 patients with pre-identified eye disorders, 12 with bone diseases and 34 patients with eye and bone disorders who came to the camp from General OPD were included in the health camp.

Three new TB patients confirmed

He told that in TB unit, Dr. Gaurav Jain conducted health check-up of the people who came to the camp and conducted X-ray tests of the patients suspected of having TB. Three new TB patients were confirmed. Their treatment was started during the camp.

Under Anaemia Mukt Bharat, oath was taken to consume iron-rich tablets which are useful in prevention of anaemia

Under Anaemia Mukt Bharat, M.L.B., J.P.B. After reaching the school, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Vishal Shukla advised to consume iron tablets which are very effective in the symptoms and prevention of anemia. The students were also sworn in to consume the blue iron tablet regularly two days a week. During this, RBSK District Coordinator Naresh Rathore and teachers were present. Dr. Raghavendra Chaudhary shared information with the students about the side effects of consuming tobacco-containing intoxicants like gutka, cigarette and the COTPA Act.

In K.N. College and Government Higher Secondary School run at block level, the Ayush doctor and eye assistant included in the RBSK team conducted eye tests and checked the Hb level in the blood and discussed the importance of consuming iron tablets and gave the message of being health conscious to the students.

During the health camp organized in G Block No. 203 of K.N. College, the RBSK team conducted eye test of girl students and assistant professors through vision chart. The girl students found to have vision defects were advised to wear glasses. Eye assistant Shailesh Ahirwar and Anupreksha Jain shared information with the girl students about common eye health problems and prevention. RBSK AMO Chandraprakash Verma checked the Hb level in the blood of the girl students and advised them to consume iron tablets twice a week which is very effective in preventing anemia.

Similarly, AMO Neha Gautam in Hindoria, Eye assistant Rajkumar Jatav in Magaron Government Higher Secondary School, Batiagarh, Dr. Saurabh Jain and Eye assistant Ashish Ahirwar, AMO in Government Model School Tendukheda. Deepti Namdev and Anju Namdev and eye assistant K.P. Shakya examined the Hb level and vision defects of the students present for the study.
