Van Mahotsav, which will run till July 7, was inaugurated

Saharanpur, on the occasion of Van Mahotsav to be held till July 7, 2024, a Van Mahotsav seminar and plantation program was organized at Forest Corporation Depot, Khajnawar under Mohand Range of Shivalik Forest Division, Saharanpur, under the guidance of Divisional Forest Officer, Shivalik Forest Division, Saharanpur, Ms. Shweta Sain.
In the program, Mrs. Rakhi Pundir, Block Pramukh, Muzaffarabad and Yogesh Pundir, Representative Block Pramukh Muzaffarabad, Kisan Morcha District President Dushyant Rana, Kisan Morcha Mandal President Bobby Rana, Deputy Divisional Forest Officer of Shivalik Forest Division Rakesh Chandra Yadav and Regional Forest Officer Mohand made the departmental employees and local villagers aware about the environment. Yogesh Pundir said that forests are most important for us and it is our duty to protect them, life is not possible without forests, as per this year's theme given by the Government of India, 'One Tree, in the name of Mother', every person must plant a tree. Regional Forest Officer Mohand MK Balodi also gave important information regarding environment and forests. Shivalik Forest Division's Sub Divisional Forest Officer Rakesh Chandra Yadav also gave detailed information about the Plant a Tree-Save a Tree campaign and said that the reason for the severe heat this year is also the decreasing cover of forests, forests are most important for maintaining natural balance, and it is our moral responsibility to protect them. Before the conclusion of the program, Block Pramukh Yogesh Pundir planted a Hari-Shankari garden. Officers/employees of Forest Department and Forest Corporation and local villagers participated in the said program. In the afternoon, under Mohand Range, a tree was planted in the name of Mother by Ms. Shweta Sain, Divisional Forest Officer, along with all the officers/employees of the divisional office and field. The officers/employees also took a pledge to protect the planted saplings. On the occasion of Van Mahotsav 2024, a plantation program was organized in Upper Primary School, Rahana under Badkala Range of Shivalik Forest Division. In which mainly plants of Amla, Jackfruit, Mango etc. species were planted. About 35 people including Chief Guest Baburam, Gram Pradhan Rahana, teachers, students, local villagers, regional forest officers and forest workers were present in the Van Mahotsav plantation program.
Van Mahotsav program was inaugurated near Badkala Forest Outpost under Shakumbhari Range of the division. In which saplings of mango, amla, gutel, kanji species were planted. In the Van Mahotsav plantation program, chief guest Sanjay Singh, former village head Rampur Budkala, local villagers, regional forest officer, Shakumbhari, and forest workers were present.
Under the Van Mahotsav program, a tree has been planted in the name of Mother by the officers/employees of Shakumbhari Range. The staff also took a pledge to protect the planted saplings.
On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, plantation was done by Puneet Tyagi, Metropolitan President in Saharanpur Range (J.V. Jain Inter College Saharanpur) of Social Forestry Division, Saharanpur and in Nakud Range (Saharanpur-Ambala Railway Route Km. 198) by Village Head Jalalpur Pavitra Anand. In Deoband Range (in Deoband Range Campus), plantation was done by Chief Guest Mahendra Saini, District President. Van Mahotsav seminar and tree plantation program was organized under the guidance of Divisional Director Division, Saharanpur Shubham Singh. In which Puneet Tyagi, Metropolitan President and Deputy Divisional Forest Officer of Saharanpur Forest Division, Mrs. Samvedna Chauhan and Regional Forest Officer Saharanpur made the departmental employees and local villagers aware about the environment.
