A couple and two children riding a bike were injured after being hit by a speeding car near Jadhua turn in Nagar police station area on Hajipur-Patna main road. The SP, who was returning from Patna at the time of the incident, immediately stopped his vehicle on the spot and sent all the injured to Sadar Hospital Hajipur for treatment in his escort vehicle.

At the same time, with the help of his security personnel, the car that hit the couple was seized and the driver was taken into custody. At the same time, the SP immediately informed the police of Nagar police station about the incident. On receiving information about the incident, the police of Nagar police station reached the spot and seized the car and brought it to the police station. All the injured are being treated at Sadar Hospital.

How the incident happened

According to the information received, Ranveer Kumar, a resident of Phulwarisharif in Patna district, was coming to his in-laws' house in Jadhua with his wife Rinku Kumari, 04-year-old daughter Shruti Kumari and one-year-old son Vidhanshu Kumar on Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile, as soon as they reached near Jadhua turn, a speeding car coming from Hajipur hit the bike.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the city police station in-charge Sunil Kumar reached the spot with the police team and took the car driver into custody and seized the car and brought it to the police station.
