Gwalior, Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia is constantly trying to bring new projects for the development of Gwalior. Recently Jyotiraditya Scindia has come to Gwalior on a two-day tour where he discussed the development plan in detail while talking to the press. He clearly said that his aim is to develop not only Gwalior but the entire Gwalior Chambal region.
Scindia said, "Modi government has given the gift of development work worth more than one thousand crores to Gwalior in the last few days. Yesterday PM Narendra Modi Cabinet approved 8 National High Speed Road Corridor projects. These also include a 6 lane high speed corridor between Gwalior and Agra. This expressway will be constructed at a distance of about 6 km from the existing Gwalior-Agra National Highway. After its construction, the distance from Agra to Gwalior will be reduced from the current 121 km to 88.4 km. Currently, the journey between the two cities takes two and a half hours via the Agra-Gwalior Highway. But, after the construction of the Agra-Gwalior High Speed Road Corridor, this journey will be reduced to just one hour.
