Jhabua, as per the instructions received from the meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mrs. Veera Rana and under the direction of Collector Ms. Tanvi Hooda, a joint team of officials of Weights and Measures Department, Food Safety Department and Food Civil and Supply Department has been formed in Jhabua. The team present at Sarangi checked the food items at Gaurav Kirana Store, Devnarayan Doodh Bhandar etc. with the help of Magic Box on spot and checked Mawa Jaggery and Interesterified Fat and the food items of Hotel M4 Maruti, Hotel Panchavati and Darbar Dhaba Thandla Road, Petlawad. After inspection, samples of cheese and soybean oil were taken for testing. During the inspection, Darbar Dhaba located on Thandla Road, Petlawad was found to be operating without registration, a case has been registered under the Food Safety and Standards Act. Apart from this, electronic weighing and fork verification has also been checked by the weighing inspector at the said shops. The food safety officer present in the team during the investigation told that the samples have been taken and sent to Bhopal testing laboratory for testing.

In compliance with the instructions of the District Level Advisory Committee, the team also examined the supplementary nutritional food distributed to children and pregnant mothers in the Integrated Child Development Project Petlawad, in which halwa, child food, khichdi, Samples of premix of wheat soya barfi and flour gram flour laddu have also been taken by the team in the investigation. The team will take action by running a special campaign for 15 days in the district. Apart from Food Safety Officer Mr. Rahul Singh, Weights and Measures Inspector Mr. Kapil Kadam and Junior Supply Officer Mr. Suresh Tomar were present in the team.
