Unauthorized 'Bar' Operating Opposite Station Without Permission
CSP Neha Pachisia Conducts Raid
Katni: The police have just taken major action—around 8:15 PM—against an unauthorized drinking area (or 'ahata'/bar) that was being brazenly operated in violation of regulations at the Ishwar Kripa Complex on Station Road. The surprise raid, led by CSP Neha Pachisia, caused a stir in the entire area. During the operation, a large number of people were caught red-handed consuming alcohol on the premises.
'Seating Arrangements' Advertised with Posters
Surprisingly, this unauthorized drinking area had been given a fully commercial setup. Large posters and banners had been prominently displayed next to the liquor shop in the Ishwar Kripa Complex, clearly stating: "Excellent arrangements for sitting and drinking alcohol here." In violation of authorized bar norms, tables and chairs had been set up in a separate area where alcohol was being openly served to customers.
Drinking Sessions Underway Outside the Liquor Shop Too
CSP Neha Pachisia had received a tip-off that an illegal drinking area was being operated in this complex opposite the station, in blatant disregard of the rules. When the police team raided the site, the scene was shocking. People were seen openly consuming alcohol not only inside the complex but also right outside the liquor shop.
From Shop Owner to Customers—All Could Face Charges!
The police have seized a large quantity of alcohol and seating equipment from the site. The matter is currently under detailed investigation. Police officials have clearly stated that no one found violating the law in this case will be spared. Everyone involved—from the shop owner (license holder) who ran the illegal drinking area to the customers who were consuming alcohol there—could be named as accused in the case. Stern Warning
The operation of such an unauthorized drinking establishment near a busy and sensitive area like the railway station raises serious security concerns. Following this swift action by CSP Neha Pachisia, panic has spread among other liquor contractors and operators of illegal drinking zones in the city. The police have made it clear that the consumption of alcohol in public places or on unauthorized premises will not be permitted, and strict action against such illegal activities will continue.
