Prayagraj, Atiq Ahmed's son Asad Ahmed Encounter died in an encounter with UP STF. Asad was absconding for several days in the Umesh Pal murder case. Along with him, another notorious criminal Ghulam has also been killed in the encounter.

Giving this information on behalf of UP STF, it was told that Atiq Ahmed's son Asad and Maqsudan's son Ghulam were wanted in Prayagraj's Umesh Pal murder case, both had a reward of five lakh rupees. The police was looking for them. During this, both were killed in an encounter with the UPSTF team under the leadership of DSP Navendu and DSP Vimal in Jhansi. State-of-the-art weapons made abroad have been recovered from them.

On the other hand, UP STF ADG Amitabh Yash told the media that an attempt was made to capture Asad and Ghulam alive, but they opened fire on the STF team, after which both of them were killed in retaliation.

On the encounter of Atiq Ahmed's son Asad Ahmed, Umesh Pal's wife Jaya Pal said, 'I thank Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. What he has done he has done very well. He punished the murderers of his daughter's husband. Justice has been done today…the police cooperated a lot.

On the other hand, CM Yogi has praised the UP STF officials involved in the encounter. Along with this, CM Yogi has called a meeting of police officers to maintain law and order.

Both stayed in Delhi's Sangam Vihar
According to sources, Asad Ahmed stayed in the house of the crook Khalid in Delhi's Sangam Vihar from 27 February to 14 March. UP STF raided this place on March 29, but Asad was not found. The STF had interrogated Khalid a lot here, especially of Atiq Ahmed. Khalid, the scumbag who provided logistical support to Asad Ahmed, was arrested the very next day, after which the Special Cell shared several inputs with the UP STF.

The STF had interrogated Khalid a lot about his movement and gathered information about where he would go next. It is believed that STF got a lot of inputs from Khalid.

Police sources said that when Asad Ahmed and Ghulam stayed in Delhi, Khalid had made all arrangements for them at Sangam Vihar. There used to be a daily party for Assad, after which Assad left from there on 14 March. It is believed that after this he had gone to Ajmer from there.

Asad was the third son of gangster-turned-MP Atiq Ahmed. It is said that last August, when his two elder brothers surrendered in court, he took over the command of Atiq's dreaded gang.

Sources in the UP Police had told News18 that Asad used to operate from Lucknow, from where he passed class 12 from a top school, but could not go abroad for further studies, as his family's criminal antecedents forced him to leave. Passport was not cleared. He was not on the police radar till Umesh Pal was captured in the CCTV footage.
