A state-of-the-art community hall will be built on approximately 2 acres of land
Udham Singh Nagar, A historic step was taken towards the development of Kichha, Kichha Assembly constituency on Wednesday. MLA Tilak Raj Behad performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a state-of-the-art community hall to be built on approximately two acres of land within the Kichha Sugar Mill complex. The government has approved ₹5 crore for the first phase of this ambitious project, while the estimated cost of the entire project will be approximately ₹10 crore.
After the groundbreaking ceremony, MLA Behad stated that building a grand and modern community hall for the people of the Kichha area was his long-cherished dream, which has now come true. He stated that approximately two acres of land, formerly owned by the sugar mill, has been made available for this project. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister and Sugarcane Minister Saurav Bahuguna for the land's availability due to the Chief Minister's support and the government's positive efforts.
He stated that an initial funding of ₹5 crore has been approved, and the project will be further developed by providing additional funds as needed in the future. He expressed confidence that this community hall will become a landmark of Kichha in the future.
MLA Behad stated that this community hall will not only be a building, but will also serve as a major hub for social, cultural, religious, educational, and public activities. Wedding ceremonies, family functions, social gatherings, cultural events, religious programs, political meetings, and other public events will be held here. People from all walks of life, from poor families to ordinary citizens, will benefit from this facility.
He stated that in the future, there are plans to develop the complex with modern facilities, including a library and a badminton court, to establish it as a multipurpose community center. The project will also be expanded if necessary.
MLA Behad stated that some people raise questions during major development projects, but when projects are completed and benefit the public, their usefulness is self-evident. He said that just as thousands of people are benefiting from the many projects developed in Rudrapur today, this community hall will also become an invaluable heritage of the Kichha region. He said that construction work has been initiated with the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony, and the foundation stone for this project will also be laid by the Honorable Chief Minister as per his schedule.
Behad said that along with the community hall, continuous efforts are being made for the fire station, stadium, road widening and other important development projects in the area, and that Kichha will receive many new development gifts in the coming time.
